Talent and Training

All About Steve

I have taught literature and writing for over twenty years, and I have performed regularly in drama, comedy, and musical theatre for my whole life. My profession and background make me finely attuned to the sound of language and nuances of tone that will make the difference in your project.

I’m usually cast in “leading man” and young dad roles. I am also a lifelong student of classic radio, film, television, music, and theatre with an expansive knowledge of entertainment styles and genres and I can emulate those styles as needed. With commercials, it’s my job to help you get the most out of your ad copy with a performance, not just a read. However, if your project has a longer, more complex script, I am committed to delivering your words with engaging, expressive clarity that keeps clients and customers listening.

I completed extensive training in voice acting and technique with Brian S. Atwood of Brian S. Atwood Voice-Overs (www.briansatwood.com), noted professional voice actor/coach. My singing instructor and coach is Yvonne Robinson who holds a Ph.D. in Vocal Pedagogy from the Juilliard School of Music. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Theatre Arts and a Master’s in English Literature.
